LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — From the Las Vegas Valley to Netflix screens, UNLV theatre professor Nate Bynum is bringing a hometown spirit to Hollywood while continuing to shape the next generation of performers.
Bynum, who recently appeared as “Demp” in the Netflix hit “Outer Banks,” is also known to many in Las Vegas simply as “Professor.” He teaches theatre in UNLV’s fine arts program.
After decades working in theatre, film and television, Bynum said his greatest success is his students and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
Bynum also said Las Vegas has strong potential to expand its footprint in the film industry. He advises aspiring actors to be mobile and versatile as they pursue opportunities.
